Parents,
As we are approaching the end of the first semester, I want to say that I have been very proud of your children! Because of the special circumstances of last year, I have really pushed them to improve their foundation of language knowledge. This has been done to ready them for the coming semester and to make sure that when they complete this year, they would have been exposed to and mastered the common benchmarks in first year Spanish. As we enter the next semester, study will become more and more important. Please feel free to contact me at any time. My phone number is 601-259-5505. The e-mail which functions best for me is mbeals14@ comcast.net.

Homework will be an extension of class work. If we do not finish an activity in class, it may be assigned as homework. Students are expected to study Spanish at least five nights a week. Flash cards are required. If no homework has been assigned, students should study their vocabulary and grammar.
Flash cards should be brought to school everyday. For Spanish ll, a notebook is requiered, and will be checked.
Learning a language is a cummulative process. This means that study of the material cannot be neglected untill the last minute! This also means that a few minutes per day is normally sufficient.
There are several larger projects due this year, and I will supply advance notice of those.
